Today is the 17th of September and that means today I am 49yo, wow where have the years gone? I remember when my Dad was this age and I thought he was OLD. Is just a number I suppose, and with me also being a gym owner I feel younger than I did when I was 30!

Things in the business sales area always speeds up around my birthday and this year is no exception. Will soon have on the market a nice NZ franchise system in hospitality, a very nice day care/ECE centre and a good sized import/wholesale business. Should be a good run into Christmas.

Also this week we have been appointed by a buyer as a buyer's agent to find a business with EBITDA in excess of NZ$3m. Any industry besides retail and the building industry will be of interest.

Had an interesting time at the Business Broker's conference in Auckland last Friday where I was asked to be a part of the Deal Maker's Panel. Sat there with 3 other experienced brokers and fielded questions from conference attendees for an hour. Was a lot of fun and I hope they got something out of it.

With today being my birthday I won't be in the office, don't think I have ever worked on my birthday. Weather permitting I will get out on the bike and taking my cameras for a trip. Hope all is well with everybody.
