This month is definitely living up to its title! We’ve been working hard preparing a few exciting opportunities that we will soon be releasing to the market. Fresh Healthy Vending has also been keeping us busy- managing both the New Zealand and Australian enquiries. If you are interested in chatting about this opportunity get in contact with us. Having a fresh healthy food option in the market can only be a good thing, especially in schools.
We definitely noticed the temperature dropped as soon as we rolled into March. Have been using my vest over my polo shirt walking to work, but sticking with the shorts for as long as I can. This year looks like it’s going to go as quickly as it did last year, can’t believe we’re halfway through March already!
We were well prepared for cyclone Lusi on the weekend, having brought our outdoor furniture inside to prevent it from flying off the balcony. Being on the 31st floor you certainly notice the wind, and Friday night we could feel the building sway. Quite a creepy feeling but I don’t think it packed quite the punch that we were warned of.
It was the wife’s birthday on Monday so spent the afternoon on the golf course. Having missed out on playing on the weekend, due to the weather, it was nice to be out in the sun. Hard to switch my mind off from work though with so much on the go.
Construction began in O’Connell Street last week. So keep that in mind if you’re travelling in town. They’re looking to re-do the entire street, in three stages, to make it more of an entertaining area, the same as Fort Street. I think it will be a great place to be once it’s completed, but construction is expected to last till August. Would hate to be a retail shop at the ground level. Can’t imagine how business has gone for the businesses in the Chancery with the recalling they have had there over the last 18 months. What a nightmare.
Good news over in the (what was our) gym! We got rid of the last two machines we had for sale last week (the day before the street closed). Such a relief to have them gone. The process definitely took longer than we expected but we saw a huge rush for machines in the New Year. Seems the cliché ‘fitness related’ New Year’s resolutions meant people were scouring sites like Trade Me for gym gear. With that all cleared we can get the next stage of our renovation underway. We will have ~240sqm of office space available. Polished concrete floors, exposed ceilings and plenty of natural light. Anybody looking for CBD office space let me know.
